Thanksgiving
Text: Philippians 4:6
Lamentations 3:22-23 – “It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning, great is thy faithfulness.“
- Give thanks to God for His love and faithfulness, provision, protection, divine health, salvation of your soul, your business, job, family, the things He has done, doing, yet to do and the ones He hasn’t done etc.
- Thank Him because He answers us when we pray – give instances.
- Thank Him because you have obtained an excellent ministry to serve Him – 1 Timothy 1:12.
- Thank Him for seeing you through the past 2 months of the year and also thank Him for He will see you through the month of March. March is the month of marching forward in every aspect of your life – career, business, education, marriage etc.
- “Thou crownest the year with thy goodness and thy paths drop fatness.” (Psalm 65:11) Thank Him for He will crown this year with His goodness for you.
- Thank Him for open doors He has given to you (1 Corinthians 16:9) and for His great strength to deal with all the adversaries.
- Thank Him for sending Jesus Christ – Jesus in us the hope of glory.
- Thank Him for your salvation, for revealing the Son Jesus Christ to you. You have not believed in vain. Many people have been deceived into believing in vain, people who worship the stars and the moon and the sun and animals and dead ancestors and trees, but we believe and worship the only TRUE and LIVING God – The Almighty God, the creator of the ends of the earth. The scripture says “Know ye not that the Spirit of Him that rose Jesus Christ abides and lives in you.” Give Him thanks.
- Thank Him again for having delivered us from the powers of darkness into the kingdom of light – Colossians 1:13.
- Thank Him because He has made us complete in Him which is the head of all principality and power – Colossians 2:10.
- Thank Him for He has reconciled you back to Himself by His precious blood – Colossians 1:20.
- Thank Him because He is worthy of our praise.
- Thank Him for the people He has surrounded you with – friends, family, children of God etc.
- Thank Him for this wonderful day He has made.
