Text: 1 Corinthians 1:4-10; 1 Kings 20: 1-3, Psalms 68:6
Personal / Family – Prayers for your family
1. Personal Prayers – 1 Corinthians 1:4-10
- Ask God for more grace upon your life – grace to serve Him, live holy, in the face of trials and persecutions to stand etc.
- Pray that in all things, you will be enriched by Him, in all utterance and in all knowledge – that you will know what to say, how to say it and when to say it – vs 5
- Pray that you will not come behind in any gift (in the area that you have been called, in your destiny, in your work place, in the church etc) and that you will be above and not beneath as we await the coming of the Lord – vs 7, Daniel 1:20 and also Deuteronomy 28:13
- Pray that the Lord will confirm you blameless when He returns – vs 8 and also Ephesians 5:27 and also that you will not be defiled with the portion of the king’s meat – Daniel 1:8
- Daniel 1: 9 – Pray also that God will bring you into favor and tender love with all that you will come across in every month of this year, and all that will decide on your matter – promotion, business, any application you have made anywhere etc.
- Pray for spiritual growth, and that the Lord will be with you wherever you go and in whatever you do, and that none of His words concerning you will fall to the ground – 1 Samuel 3:19
- Pray that God will establish you a prophet and battle axe / instrument of righteousness in these last days – 1 Samuel 3:20 & Jeremiah 51:20-23 and that people will know that you are a true servant of the Lord.
- Ask God to reveal Himself more and more to you by His word – 1 Samuel 3:21
2. Family Prayers – 1 Kings 20: 1-3
NB: The family is a nucleus of the church. Any man who has failed at the family level cannot operate properly spiritually.
- Draw from the intercessions of Jesus & nullify every “claim” the enemy is making over your families, marriages and children and generally in this country.
– Neutralize every petition or “satanic demand” for your family by the blood of Jesus.
– Command every power of witchcraft that seeks to trade with your family to catch fire in the name of Jesus Nahum 3:4.
– Arrest every aggression targeted against your marriage and declare “I will not assist the enemy to attack my marriage” in the name of Jesus.
- Prophetically bring an “earthquake” into the foundations of your homes / families. Acts 16:25-26
– Let ‘invisible prison doors’ over the families open by fire
– Let “invisible chains” that tie people in the family down to pain and sorrow be broken.
– As a royal priest; bring the voice of the blood of Jesus over the heavens to blot out records that are contrary to the plans of God for your family – Colossians 2:14 & Hebrews 12:24
– By the voice of the blood of Jesus, cancel the negative testimony of generational complications over your family.
– Pray like this: “By the blood of Jesus, I am redeemed from demonic heritage. Therefore I decree that the failures of my parents will not be repeated in my life and my failures will not be repeated in the lives of my children”.
Declare: “The Lord is my portion and my salvation; what stopped my parents will not stop me in the name of Jesus.”
