Prayer Points – 26 March 2010

Exhortation Text: Isaiah 25:6-10

Praying for Closer to Jesus Ministries

  • Give Him the praise and thanks again for we have obtained an excellent ministry from Him. Thank Him because you are indeed privileged to be part of this assignment and divine project.
  • Pray that in CJM, the Lord will spread a wonderful feast for all. Men and women coming to this assembly will indeed be fed by the Lord with food convenient for them – Proverbs 30:8.
  • Pray that no person coming to our meetings will go back untouched. That the fire and arrow of God’s word will touch everyone.
  • Ask the Lord again to release more of His anointing to the shepherds (Pastors Godson & Blessing) He has placed over the ministry, that the undiluted word of God will always flow through them or any other person that comes to minister in our church.
  • Ask the Lord to give them more insight, strategy and direction to lead.
  • Ask the Lord to anoint you also and equip you for this great assignment that you have been called into – spiritually, materially, financially and physically. Whom He calls, He equips.
  • Ask the Lord to place a burden of this work into your spirit from now onwards and also every other person that He has called into this work. Let the zeal of the Lord begin to consume them – Isaiah 9:7 & John 2:17.
  • Ask the Lord to make you begin to shine forth as the sun in all things that you set your hands to do according to His word – Matt 13:43.
  • Ask the Lord to cover you with the Glory of His presence in Cosmo City. Ask Him to hide you under His pavilion and that you will be immune from the attacks of the enemy – Psalm 27:5 & 31:20.
  • Pray that the Lord will uncover every veil that is cast over the people in Cosmo City that prevents them from seeing the Lord. Release the men & women from evil destinies that they have received from their fathers – SA citizens particularly.
  • Ask the Lord to wipe away tears from the members of this ministry – tears of sorrow, disappointment & failure at the edge of breakthrough, of lack and joblessness, sickness, loss of property and everything kind of tear that leads to shame.
  • Pray that through this ministry, the Lord will deal with the spirit of Moab – spirit of immorality. That no one coming to this ministry will eat of the fruit of this spirit.
  • Declare the words of our Lord Jesus according to Mark 11:14 – “Say you spirit of sexual sin, no man will eat the fruit of thee in Closer to Jesus Ministries in the name of Jesus Christ.”
  • Ask the Lord to visit our Sunday services again by His Spirit – let there be genuine salvation, repentance, healing, miracles, conviction, understanding of the word that is being preached etc.
  • Pray again for those that are lagging behind. That the Lord will have mercy and open their eyes.
  • Pray for the building project – that God will give us a head start and grant His speed to this work. Pray again and thank Him because He alone will provide all the finance that we need.
  • Pray that the Lord will show us favor through the authorities in Cosmo City – CODEVCO and JHB city council, and that they will relax the rule of paying them 5% of the project cost if we do not use their building contractors.
  • Pray like this, “Let the Angel of the Lord assigned to work with this ministry chase away every vulture that will try to steal away the resources meant for this work. Let them be directed to face another direction in the name of Jesus.”
  • Reject all forms of delays in all the places where our cases will come up – the architect, the JHB city who approves the drawings, the finance required and whoever that will hold it up, the builders and building material shops, ESKOM and power connection, the weather etc. Ask the Lord to speed things up for us and grant us favor and speed in these places.
  • Ask the Lord to remove from our midst all forms of distractions and discouragements from the spirit of Sanballat, Tobiah and Geshem – Neh 2:19 & 4:1-3.
  • Ask the Lord to send us the Eliashibs, the Jehoiadas, the Uziels etc – Neh 3. Men and women of integrity, dedication and honesty whom He will use to build this work spiritually and physically. Why not ask Him to enlist you as one of them?

Isaiah 49:25-26 & Matt 16:18 – Declaring war against every territorial spirit in Cosmo City that is contending with this work.

  • Pray like this, “Father, release your fire right now against every spirit in the land that has been delegated to contend with the work of this ministry. Let them begin to melt like wax in the name of Jesus Christ.” Let them be confounded in the name of Jesus.
  • Let every idol, spirits in the land, ancient altars and gates that are contending with the work of this ministry crumble into irreparable pieces in the name of Jesus Christ.
  • Pray like this, “Let the fire of God go forth and begin to burn every activity of witchcraft, sorcery, ancestral worship and evil destinies right now in the name of Jesus Christ.”
  • Command them, “Lift up your heads, O ye gates and be ye lift up ye everlasting doors that the King of Glory – Jesus Christ will reign in Cosmo City. – Psalm 24:7-9
