Exhortation Scriptures: Num 28:1-4; 1 Pet 2:5; Isaiah 41:15; Jeremiah 51:20-23
Thanksgiving and Worship (Acceptable Sacrifices)
- Give Him praise and worship and thanksgiving again for His faithfulness over your life. He has been faithful even when we are not.
- Call Him by His names: He said in John 12:32 “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
– Jehovah Jireh -The Lord My Provider (Gen.22:14)
– Jehovah Rohi – My Shepherd (Psalm 23)
– Jehovah Hapha – My Healer (Exodus 15:26)
– Jehovah El-Sabaoth – The Lord of Hosts (1 Sam 17:45; 2 Sam 6:2)
– Jehovah Elyon – The Lord Most High (Psalm. 7:17)
– Jehovah Tsidkenu – My Righteousness (Jeremiah 23:6)
– Jehovah Mekaddishkem – My Sanctifier
– Jehovah Shalom – God of Peace
– Jehovah Shammah – God is there (present)
– Jehovah El Shaddai – God Almighty / All Sufficient One
– Jehova Nissi – My Banner (Exodus 17:15)
– Jehovah Adonai – The Lord God (Gen 15:2)
General Prayers
- Ask God to release upon you the mantle of prayer. Let the spirit of intercession and supplications come upon you again.
- Ask Him to steer up a holy rebellion in your hearts tonight to contend with the spirits that have hindered you from:
– Praying
– From giving Him quality praise & worship
– Quality offerings and sacrifices
– Giving Him the glory due His name
- Isaiah 56:7; Col 4:2 – Pray again that the Holy Spirit shall indeed make us men and women of prayer, Christians who experience the grace and power of God through prayer. Men who influence their world and gain victory over kingdom of darkness through prayer. Ask Him to make you a strong Christian on your knees.
NB: Acceptable sacrifice depends on the Quality, Timing and Willingness.
- Ask the Lord to make you a lively stone and to teach you how to offer Him praise and what it means to offer the spiritual sacrifice that is ACCEPTABLE to Him.
- Pray that the Spirit of the Lord will help you as an individual that going forward, the words of your mouth, the meditations of your heart and your actions will be ACCEPTABLE to Him.
- Ask that the Holy Ghost fresh fire will fall upon you and that going forward, your offerings and sacrifices will be made by fire.
- Say to Him, “Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I dedicate myself to offering you your food in due time and season. I commit my life to praising and worshiping you when it is convenient and when it is not. I will praise you in the day and in the evening I will not give up – Ecc 11:6, I will praise you in the open and in secret.”
- Isaiah 61:3 – Ask Him to give you beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garments of praise in place of the spirit of heaviness, so that you will be called the tree of righteousness, the planting of the Lord and that His name will be glorified.
- Rom 12:1 – Ask Him to help you present your body a living sacrifice, holy and ACCEPTABLE, which is your reasonable service.
- Pray from Jeremiah 51:20-23 – That the LORD will use you as a battle axe and instrument of war to implement His righteousness and holiness in the lives of people around you. That you will affect men and women by the Spirit of the LORD.
- Pray that the Lord’s anointing will come upon you as it was upon Peter in Acts 5:15-16 – Anointing to heal the sick and deliver people from all forms of satanic bondage.
NB: Isaiah 56:10; Ezekiel 3 & 33 – The Lord has called us to be watchmen and many watchmen are still operating in blindness.
- Ask the Lord to anoint your eyes with eye salve (Rev 3:18), so that you will no more live in blindness (Isaiah 6:9; John 12:40 & 2 Cor 4:4 ), you will no more live in ignorance and you will no more live as a dog that cannot bark.
- Isaiah 41:15 – Ask the Lord to make you a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth this year. Ask Him to use you and His church to accomplish what He said in Isaiah 42:6-7.
- Pray like this, “Father in the name of Jesus, let the smoke of your righteousness, holiness and your power begin to emit from my life, so that people who I encounter (or who encounter me) will not be comfortable with sin.” Let my life be a testament and testimony in the name of Jesus.
- Pray that He will sharpen you as a rough lively stone so that you will affect people around you. Ask him to deliver you from being a smooth pebble. Refuse and reject the spirit of slumbering. Say to Him, “I am not a pebble, I am a lively stone and I am what the Word of God says I am in the name of Jesus Christ.”
- Rom 6:13 & Col 3:5-7 – Pray like this, “Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I receive the grace and power to live above sin and henceforth, I will no more yield or submit any of my members as instrument to unrighteousness (my eyes will no more behold evil – Job 31:1 & Matt 5:28, I will guard my heart with all diligence – Prov 4:23, I will no more lie with my mouth, I will no more listen to ungodly music with my ears – Mark 4:24, and I will not subject my body to any form of immoral acts.”
- Exodus 33:13 – Pray for more grace upon your life. Ask God to show you His way, not his acts Psalm 103:7. That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection.
- Pray like this: Lord please show me day by day (open my eyes to) the things that are needful for me to know, or do in order to be a lively stone / live a sacrificial life.
– Are there habits that you need to drop?
– Are there besetting sins that you need to lay aside? – Heb 12:1
– Are there friends that you need to cut off from – Gen 34:1–31 (Dina’s example) & 2 Cor 6:14-18, Then cry unto the Lord for help and deliver you.
- Pray from Gal 5:15, 19-21 – Quickly identify the areas that affect you and ask the LORD to help you begin to deal with them. Say to the LORD, “I drop these at the feet of Calvary”. Reject, renounce, denounce and refuse their offer.
- Pray like this: I stand on the finished work of Calvary as a priest and I ask that the fire of the Holy Ghost burn the activities of (mention them) in my life. Covenant with the LORD that you will never carry these loads anymore.
- Begin to ask the LORD to replace vss 19-21 with 22-23.
- Pray from Phil 4:8 – that the LORD will fill your hearts and minds with things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, good report and things that are virtuous.
- Pray from Rom 15:13 – Ask Him to fill you up with joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
- Psalm 19:14 & 104:34 – Ask Him to fill your hearts with acceptable and sweet meditation of Him – His goodness, mercy, loving kindness, faithfulness, love, holiness, righteousness, power, purpose, person etc. See also 1 Tim 4:15
- Pray from Psalm 119:97 – That His law shall be your meditation all day.
- Isaiah 42:16 – Ask Him to give you the grace and direction for what He expects from you as an individual in 2010.
- Psalm 32:8 – Ask Him to give us the grace and direction for what He expects from us as a church in 2010.
- Col 1:9-10 – Obedience to God’s word is fundamental to effective prayer, and there is no substitute to obedience. Ask the Lord to fill His children with the knowledge of His will and enable everyone to live a life that pleasing to Him in all things. Pray that God’s desire and purpose will become predominant in our prayer lives. Our prayers shall truly be for the extension of His kingdom on earth.
Threshing Floor – Place of Separation. Ruth 3: 2-3, 2 Sam 6:6-7
NB: Threshing floor is a place of divine encounter with God (Bethel for Jacob – Gen 28:16-19), place of prevailing with God, change of vision, character, name, your will and motive, starting newly with God.
- Pray and ask God to bring you to the place of the threshing floor, a place where you will be separated for Him.
- Pray that every time you appear before Him – either during the services or your private meeting with Him, that He will keep on doing the work of separation.
Prayers for Closer to Jesus Ministries – Eph 4:11-13; Isaiah 2:2-3 & 62:6-7
- Pray that CJM will indeed be established in the top of the mountains and be exalted above the hills.
- Pray that the Lord will make every member of CJM a lively stone and together make this ministry a spiritual house where all the ministerial gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit will manifest.
- Pray that the power of the Holy Spirit will be fully present in our Sunday meetings will fully manifest Himself by releasing a brokenness of the heart (Acts 2:37) so that the unsaved will receive salvation, those who are oppressed will be delivered, those who are sick (physically & emotionally) will be saved, those who are bound by sin – drinking, smoking, lying, immorality etc will be delivered.
- Pray that the glory of the LORD will come upon this ministry, the pastors, the workers and all that have been called to this ministry. By the Spirit of the LORD, release men and women to come to our meeting this Sunday.
- Pray that all races and nationalities will indeed flow into this ministry and will be taught the undiluted word of the LORD.
- Pray that in this ministry, the LORD will be praised and glorified.
- Pray that the word of the LORD will not be rare or scarce in CJM – 1 Sam 3:1
- Ask the LORD to send the right workers to us – Nehemiah 3 – Men like Eliashib, Hassenaah Meremoth, Jehoiada, Malchijah etc
- Ask Him to send those who will operate the prophetic gifts, the evangelists, apostles, teachers and pastors so as to fulfill His purpose in Eph 4:11-13.
- Ask Him to send us men and women who will humble and submit themselves to the vision of this ministry like the Benaiahs – 2 Sam 23:20 & 1Kings 1:8
Naming the Months of the Year – Gen 2:19
- 5. May Prophecy that the month of May will bring more Grace & Favor into your life;
NB: Name of Jesus = 5 letters, 5 smooth stones
- 6. June – The number of man 666 – Man was created on the 6th day. Man labors 6 days only. The Serpent was created on the 6th day. The 6th commandment is “Thou shalt not murder.”; Planting and Sowing – Luke 1:26
- 7. July – Completeness & Perfectness, healing, restoration, release etc. Lev 23:27; Deut 15:1; Josh 6:16,20
- 8. August – New beginning – 8 people on Noah’s Ark (2 Pet. 2:5); circumcision on 8th day (Gen. 17:12); God made 8 covenants with Abraham
- 9. September – Number of Judgment; Giving birth; The gifts of the spirit are 9 in number (1 Cor. 12:8-10): the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, tongues, and interpretation of tongues.
- 10. October – The number of divine perfection; Complete test, commandment, judgment (10 plagues)
- 11. November – Paradigm shift, promotion etc
- 12. December – Divine government – Rev 7
